Desk For the Day: Montenegro

Honestly, it has been a long time that a place has really surprised us. The people being lovely. The natural beauty of the location. Everything just coming together, meeting/exceeding every expectation. This is Montenegro.

We will have more to say about this place soon enough, but we have been so busy being present and truly experiencing the places we have been lately, it has been some time since we have worked outside of the apartment or hotel where we are staying, and let’s be honest, no one really wants to see that.

So here is our desk for the day in Montenegro. This is the Waikiki Beach and Resort. It is a 25 minute walk from our apartment in the town of Tivat. It looks out on the Boka Kotorska Bay (Kotor is an ancient town nearby), and has all the amazing blue/green water that you would want in a beach location. 

Side note: it was currently 94 degrees Fahrenheit (33 Celsius), but it felt like 105 with the humidity. This was just boiling, especially for Jeremy, even in the shade. Luckily, the water is close and very refreshing, but it means lots of breaks, which certainly hurts the ability to focus on anything for very long. 

That said, it was a beautiful location to be our desk for the day!

Here is an aerial picture we took of the bay from the top of the gondola ride that overlooks the entirety of Boka Bay. Can’t beat it at sunset!
