The Netherlands | Amsterdam, Breda & Eindhoven
Oh the Netherlands! What a wonderful country to explore!
While this was a quick trip, and it followed our adventure to Belgium, the Netherlands didn’t disappoint. Well, the weather could have been better, but it didn’t stop us from having a great time.
We took the train from Brussels, Belgium to Breda to have lunch and a look around. When Jeremy worked for Driscoll’s he worked with a team out of Breda and wanted to stop in and see the cute town again. It was a lovely stop along the way and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and some sunshine.
Once back on the train, we headed to Eindhoven. Eindhoven is a lovely city – vibrant and beautiful.
Eindhoven, Netherlands
We spent some time exploring the city, but the main reason we stopped in Eindhoven was to see NOFX. We decided we couldn’t miss seeing NOFX again, and for their final tour, if we were so close to a world tour stop. The show was great. The weather…that is another story.

Next…Amsterdam! Per usual, we started our exploration of Amsterdam with a good old Hop On Hop Off (HOHO) bus and boat combo. I have lovingly decided to call Hop On Hop Offs “HOHOs” and this one was a good one. Highlights included the National Maritime Museum and the Museum District. We had some good moments of weather and some not so great moments of weather.

Amsterdam is an awesome city to wander and enjoy. The places you randomly find along the way is what makes it fun, like this bar.
Things We Learned
The weather in Amsterdam will change drastically in minutes. Be prepared for anything. Seriously.
If you want to go to the Van Gogh Museum you need to buy tickets in advance. They sellout quickly and you can’t buy a ticket when you arrive in person.
Always have a raincoat and umbrella with you. Seriously.
That is a snapshot of our time in the Netherlands. Cheers to a wonderful experience.
Now…Where To Next?
